Thursday nights at the Royal Oak are eagerly awaited.  Devotees of cerebral combat gather to contest the title of know-alls of the week!  Our General Knowledge Quiz is characterised by its friendliness and humour - not its seriousness.  Paying just £1 per head, teams of any number (4-ish) gather together to pit their wits against each other.  Prizes for the winning team are at the whim of Dave the landlord but are, at the very least, a free round of drinks next week.  The ante is raised when T-shirts are offered as special prizes!
NEW BLOOD IS NEEDED!!

Are you up to the task of defeating the likes of the Speckled Henpeckers, Caddy and the Bovril Boys, Footloose and Fancy 4 or The 4 Donkeymen of the Apocalypse?

Come along if you fancy the mental challenge (some would say the teams above are mental!), we would love to see you.

The format of the quiz is 9 rounds including a Joker round.  The titles of the rounds vary from week to week but always included is a pop-music tape round - guaranteed to defeat the Speckled Henpeckers.  There is also a running quiz that increases at £1 per week for the person who guesses the answer to an impossible piece of trivia.  The pot has been known to reach the dizzy heights of £20+.  The whole evening is run by our quiz inquisitor Graham Neale.  It's a great night out!

Introducing our quiz-master Graham:

Speckled Henpeckers

show respect . . .

Cheeky speckled henpecker

Here's Graham posing for the camera.  He thinks it makes him look like a quizmaster.  Sorry, Graham, only joking.  What he's really doing is drawing a map showing us where Limoges is situated in Belgium.  Sorry, Graham, only joking again.

What he is really doing is telling the Donkeymen how much he likes and respects the Speckled Henpeckers.  We, in turn, respect Graham tremendously and would NEVER go behind his back and do anything to hurt him.
